Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of the MacČelik application. By using the app you agree to them.

What the app does

MacČelik reads a Serbian eID card over a USB smart-card reader and displays and exports its contents locally on your Mac. It can also expose the card to macOS as a client certificate for logging into government portals in Safari and Chrome.

Free and paid features

Reading and viewing your card is free. A MacČelik Pro subscription unlocks:

• Export to JSON, PDF, photo and .cer certificate files;
• Browser login (exposing the card as a client certificate).

Subscription terms

• MacČelik Pro is offered as an auto-renewable yearly subscription (USD 9.99 per year), billed to your Apple ID.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
• The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings after purchase. A free trial’s unused portion, if offered, is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Your responsibilities

You may only read identity documents you are lawfully entitled to read. You are responsible for how you use and store data you export.

No warranty

The app is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. It is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any government authority. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any damages arising from its use.
